Day 26. At sea. 11.2.25

 "Attend informative lectures to learn about Antarctica as we sail across the Scotia Sea towards the white continent. Perhaps treat yourself to a massage in the wellness centre or stay active in the gym; the choice is yours on how you want to enjoy days at sea."

Day 13 of our Antarctic Tour.

2° this morning at 8am.

We passed our bio security check easily this morning and then it was leisure time. We have been motoring along at 14 knots to try and keep ahead of the bad weather. 

Measures the listing of the ship.

The Internet has been spasmodic so I am giving up posting photos and will add whenever possible.

This afternoon we saw some larger icebergs and spotted about 10 Fin whales. Fin whales are the second largest species of whale after blue whales. They have more pointed heads and are more streamlined than their giant cousins.

Due to our detour to avoid the bad weather we went past the rugged mountains of the South Orkney islands.
