Day 24. South Georgia. 9.2.25

"In addition to Zodiac excursions and shore excursions, we may ship cruise through fjords with towering cliffs of ancient stone, or into deeply indented bays towards dramatic glacier fronts. This is a great time to find a comfy spot in the observation lounge or make your way to the bridge (open at the Captain’s discretion) to enjoy uninterrupted views of South Georgia’s majestic coast."

Day 11 of our Antarctic Tour.

6° this morning.
The view from our balcony this morning of St Andrews Bay. The motley white at the bottom of the picture is a small part of the King Penguin colonies.  Apparently there are something like 100-150,000 pairs of penguins, plus their chicks.

              **"WOW"**

(just WOW because there are not enough words to describe how special St Andrews was). I have taken way toooo many photos again so I will just put up a few special ones.
The King Penguins are not scared of humans and will come very close whereas the Fur seals are fiesty and try to chase you and act aggressively.
Welcoming committee 🐧

Fur seal pups.
This pair kept following me around 💕
A moulting King Penguin.

Soooooo many King Penguins.

Close up of the feather pattern.

It's been a very long day and we have a pre breakfast Zodiac cruise in the morning so the blog will be added to when I get a chance, hopefully tomorrow.
