We are off on our first adventure for 2025. This will be our last overseas trip for awhile as we have big plans at home for the next couple of years.
We will have a week in Sydney before we depart for South America and Antarctica.
While in Sydney we plan to attend the Granville Rail Disaster Memorial, climb the Harbour bridge and meet up with some of Marks' former work colleagues. The rest of our time there will be at leisure, of course I have a few things on the list in case we get bored.
We will be visiting Chile 🇨🇱, Argentina 🇦🇷, Brazil 🇧🇷 and Peru 🇵🇪.
In amongst those countries we will be going on a 3 week Antarctic 🇦🇶 cruise, at the end of January. If you are interested, the below link will show you all about our cruise.

"The Drake Passage is a body of water that connects the Atlantic, Pacific, and Southern Oceans, and is considered the gateway to Antarctica. It's known for its unpredictable weather, which can include powerful winds, towering waves, and rough seas. The passage is also known for having two extremes: calm waters, nicknamed the Drake Lake, and turbulent waters, nicknamed the Drake Shake."
Thankfully we are only crossing the notorious Drake passage once 🤢.
"The Drake Passage is named after Sir Francis Drake, an English explorer and naval commander from the Elizabethan era. He is said to have been the first to sail through the Drake Passage in 1578, when his ship was blown south during a storm."
Sir Francis Drake is believed to be one of Marks ancestors. It has been a dream of Marks to do this trip for quite a few years.
With just 48 hrs to go we are finalising our packing and having a cheers to a safe and illness free adventure.

Have a wonderful trip Mark & Sue. Can’t wait to watch your adventure. 😁
